Wichita, Kan. – The Wichita Art Day of Giving (ArtDOG), a project of the Wichita Community Foundation (WCF), will return April 29. After raising nearly $550,000 in 2014, and $1.17 million in 2015, the campaign focuses efforts on increasing funds and raising awareness for arts nonprofits in the Wichita community.

“After two years of successful ArtDOG campaigns, we anticipate another fun 24 hours of giving on April 29,” said WCF President and CEO Shelly Prichard. “The community raised $1.17 million in 2015, which is a true testament to the impact the arts community has on our quality of life.”

Fifty-seven nonprofit arts organizations are registered to participate in 2016. Golden Ticket opportunities will be available throughout the day, awarding 12 $1,000 prizes to randomly selected participating organizations. In addition, all participating organizations are eligible for the Bonus Pool, which is awarded based on dollars raised at the conclusion of the giving day. Spirit AeroSystems is ArtDOG’s Premier Partner for the second consecutive year, dedicating $25,000 to the cause. Other additions include a $25,000 contribution from WCF, and additional gifts from Fidelity Bank Foundation, Don and Lora Barry and other donors.

“At Spirit AeroSystems, we are committed to making a positive impact in the areas where we live and work,” said Amy Williams, senior manager of Global Community Relations and Corporate Communications. “We’re happy to once again serve as Premier Partner for the Art Day of Giving campaign. We believe in the power of partnerships, and support projects and programs that bring communities together. Through this campaign, we support access to high-quality arts and culture organizations and enhance the quality of life for our employees and neighbors.”

ICTArtDOG.org, produced by Lifeboat Creative, will provide real-time updates of the total raised on April 29 and announce the Golden Ticket recipients, among other features.
